Open Class - 2023

Open Class offers an opportunity for anyone of any age to exhibit projects showcasing new skills or refining old skills or just for the fun of it! Whatever your interest, there should be a place for it in our entry list. Information and the registration form are available for download below.

INFORMATION & REGULATIONS

1.       ENTRY DAY: Tuesday, July 18, 12:00 to 5:30 p.m.

2.       RELEASE TIMES: Saturday, July 22, 9:00 – 10:00 p.m. Fairgrounds. 

              Sunday, July 23, 7:30 – 9:30 a.m.  Exhibits, premiums and ribbons must be picked up during these times. The fairboard is not responsible for exhibits left after release time.

3.       Open to Amateur exhibitors only.  No advertising allowed. An amateur pursues a hobby and may occasionally sell work. A professional earns a large portion of his livelihood from this pursuit.

4.       Entries may not have been previously exhibited at the fair.

5.       Limit of two entries per lot. May enter as many lots as desired.

6.       For a faster registration, bring address labels for each entry. If you have a large number of exhibits, please have on a list.  Be sure to THIS YEAR’S premium list, some lot numbers are changed.

7.       JUDGING: Open Class building will be closed for judging. Tuesday evening Flowers, Vegetables, Needlework and Foods will be judged.  All other classes will be judged Wednesday morning. Judges may withhold ribbons on any exhibits they feel lack merit.

8.       AWARDS:  Grand Champion in each class - $2.00.  Blue-$3.00, Red-$2.00 and White-$1.00 in each lot.

9.       SWEEPSTAKES:  First- $15 and Second-$10., unless otherwise noted.

10.    PREMIER EXHIBITOR- Exhibitor that accumulates the most points with number and quality of exhibits.
